š Biography

Okay, I promised a little about me so here it goes...

I am a Montanan through and through.  I have never lived anywhere else and, to tell the truth, cannot picture myself doing so.  I am very much in love with this place and believe it truly is "The Treasure State."  I am wonderfully blessed to live with my family on the foothills of the Rocky Mountains surrounded by the awesomeness of God's creation.

I have always been interested in art.  From as far back as I can remember, I have been attacking a piece of paper with a pencil, trying to capture a vast array of subjects from horses to landscapes.  But my biggest desire has always been to draw people.  My childhood scrapbooks are full of haphazardly proportioned attempts at drawing family and friends.

In 2008, I was introduced to a book by Carrie Stuart Parks. (Check out her website by clicking on the Stuart Parks link in the left sidebar.)  Her techniques provided me with the tools I needed to start drawing realistic faces...and I haven't stopped since.  Today, I am selling prints of my graphite pencil work and have begun taking commissioned pieces.

In 2009, God began leading me into what I now know to be my destiny...prophetic art.  The very first was my picture, "Fire and Praise."  This new adventure came complete with having no picture to reference and another new element...color!  He has continued to stretch my abilities by introducing me to new mediums and styles.  I have the distinct feeling that this is only the beginning of a lifelong lesson in art.  I look forward to the experience.

A true creative person, I enjoy many different forms of art besides that on the page.  Scrimshaw (designs scarred into bone and filled with ink) has lately been added to my list as well as beading jewelry.  I love to sew, sculpt, and do computer graphic designing.

I am a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature and love to write.  My all time favorite genre is historical fiction and I have several novels two thirds of the way completed.  A few short stories have actually found their way to the famous THE END and give me hope that one day a novel will too.  Maybe someday some of my short stories will appear on my website.  Who knows?

But the most important thing I could ever share about myself is my love for Papa God.  He is my everything in life and the source of all I do.  If not for His unending love I do not dare imagine where I would be.  He is my heartsong.

So...that's a little about me.

THE END
